Where outdoor learning gathers.
In the ocean, a reef is where life comes together. It’s where sea life gathers, feeds, rests and connects. Reef brings that same idea to your outdoor classroom: a flexible center where students come together to learn, talk, create and move.
Reef is part of Tenjam’s Session Series of commercial furniture. It’s designed for schools that want outdoor learning spaces to work year-round, in every North American climate. Platforms, tables, stools, benches and mobile teaching tools mix and match into layouts that change as fast as your lesson plans.
Built to Stay Outside
Reef is made from materials chosen so the furniture can stay outdoors with almost no maintenance.
- Anodized aluminum frames in a natural aluminum finish. They’re lightweight and strong, and they won’t rust or corrode.
- HDPE surfaces that hold up to sun, rain and snow. They won’t splinter, peel or need repainting.
- 316 stainless steel fasteners, a marine-grade hardware that resists corrosion.
The result is outdoor furniture that doesn’t need to be brought in, covered or refinished. It’s ready for class every day.
Colors
Anodized aluminum frames (natural finish) with HDPE surfaces in Red, Medium Blue or Medium Gray.
Reef Ancillary Elements
Round out the space with mobile teaching and support pieces in the same materials and colors.
- “Ray” Mobile Lectern. A rolling lectern that gives teachers a home base for outdoor lessons, then moves wherever class goes next. Two shelves allow teachers to store bins for lessons and supplies.
- “Echo” Mobile Whiteboard. A rolling whiteboard for teaching, brainstorming and group work, so ideas can be written down anywhere outdoors.
- “Binny” Single Trash Station. Keeps the outdoor classroom clean, with a frame that matches the rest of the space. Trash can liners are not included and can be bought from local industrial or custodial suppliers.
